Hi all,
Just thought I'd ask and see who, or how many go in the laggers room. I have to give it some thought before going on the voice chat server, because if I decide to, I will have to upgrade my ventrilo, since I have an old version, sigh. I didn't go on when theylowered it for dial ups, because I thought it was going to be a premium service, and didn't want to upgrade my ventrilo, and go on there when it became a pay feature. I've been thinkingabout going in the dial up room, but just thought I'd find out who uses it before I made my decision to upgrade my ventrilo and give it a plunge. I don't care for crowded rooms, especially voice rooms. Well, maybe I'll upgrade my ventrilo and give it a go, if there some folk I know in there. Thanks all,
wonderwoman

Well now I know there's a room for us unfortunates, I'm there for sure!

I didn't know it either. Caitlin told me or us earlier, but thought I might should hear it from j-squared before upgrading my ventrilo program. Sigh, I don't enjoy upgrading to newer versions.

There isn't really a room for dial-up people. That room still won't work. All yo can really do on the voice chat server is sit in the lobby and jump into text chat, unfortunately. There wasn't a demand for it before. Maybe we'll add a second server in future if the site gets more popular.

Well, i am definitely one of the ones who wants a dialup room on ventrilo! i give 110% for it! I guess its a lot more popular to have concast or dsl or whatever, but i bet there's still alot of us here on the zone who are stuck with dialup.
So, i hope the demand increases, so us laggers can have a place to hang on ventrilo!

If we did dial-up, you'd be on a second server that was dial-up only. There isn't the capability to do dial-up on the same server as it stands.

Oh well, understand, maybe I'm better off the way it is anyway. I usually can't get a word in sideways in voice chat rooms, unless I'm in there with folks I know.

Sorry if I was unclear. I mean there's the laggers channel on the server, so if you're lagging, you cna go there. I didn't mean there was a special server or whatever for dialers. But i figure, laggers can lag together, and I'm more than willing to go in with the laggers, if there's a good laggy discussion going hehe.

Hi Caitlin,
I understood what you meant. I know they don't have a separate server for dial ups, but j squared says the laggers room doesn't really work, and lately, my connection speed has been down to 28.8 kbps, even though I have a 33.6 k modem.
